About This Course

Our business landscape is rapidly changing. Our scope of interaction has shifted from speaking to a colleague seated at the next desk to interacting with people halfway across the world. With this shift, it becomes increasingly important to learn about and understand communication that can be understood in multiples business landscapes.

In this live, virtual, gamified workshop, participants will learn about building foundational communication skills. The participants will also be introduced to core communication values, along with frameworks to improve their listening and questioning skills.

Skill Drill 1: Mastering Workplace Communication

In this skill drill, participants will play a board game named In Sync, an experience which tests out their communication skills and inter/intra team coordination and brings out the prominent behaviors that they exhibit. This game is followed by familiarizing the participants with tools and strategies which would help them structure their communication and utilize it as a skill, rather than a mere means to an end.

Skill Drill 2: ARID (Ask-Remind-Inform-Discover)

This skill drill is driven through a conversation between two characters. Here, participants will be asked to identify the problems with this conversation and rewrite it how they see fit. Learners will also be introduced to the Emotions vs Information matrix to determine the best balance when conversing in a business setting. Though these learnings, participants will be given a steppingstone towards understanding how to communicate more mindfully with other people.
